11 Creative Assignment - 3D Modeling
Reflection
In this creative response I created a 3D model of a horse using Tinkercad, which was a completely new process for me. I initially began working on my laptop, but quickly became frustrated with the lack of control using the trackpad. Switching to a desktop computer with a mouse significantly improved my ability to navigate and manipulate the digital space. Even with this adjustment, I found the process both challenging and engaging. At times, I wished I could physically reach into the screen to position shapes to be where I wanted them. Translating spatial ideas into a digital format felt quite odd at first. As I continued, I became more comfortable with the tools. The copy-and-paste function was helpful for repeating forms and then making small adjustments. One surprising aspect of the experience was how quickly time passed once I became immersed in the work. What began as a frustrating process became captivating as the model started to take shape. If I were to approach this project again, I now feel as if I have developed a level of familiarity with the medium through experimentation.
This is so cute!
