11 Initial Ideas for Final Project
Above was the outcome of my roll determining my final project. I’m really excited that I rolled scanography, as it has been my favorite process we’ve engaged with in class. Naturally, horses will be involved in my final project. When I think about community, I immediately think of my barn community—an extremely supportive group of women I interact with daily who are very important to me. I want to create scanographs at the barn that represent this community. This could involve scanning parts of my friends’ horses or elements of their equipment. Sculpture is a bit harder for me to conceptualize in relation to this project, but I think it could come into play through how the scanographs are displayed in a meaningful, structural way. My first step will be to bring my scanner to the barn, experiment, and see what I capture, and then develop the project from there. I also just ordered a portable scanner and am very excited to experiment with it!
